Natural Soap

By Tom Black

An article on soap on a strength website?  Well yes, and frankly it's about time!  You see, strength and health go together, and having healthy skin is important to overall heath.  Healthy skin radiates good heath.  In fact, if you think about it, when you judge someone's age the skin is the first thing you see (or hair for men!)  There's no doubt that healthy skin exudes good heath.   I highly recommend Kiss my Face Soap but see more details below before you buy.

Neova Therapy Cleansing Bar
Cleansing Bar from SkinStore, Inc

In my journey as a "Physical Culturist" I discovered natural soap very early.  By the time that I had read the Mighty Atom autobiography I had already been using natural soap for a few years, usually hand made soaps that were local brands.  I was not surprised to discover that the Mighty Atom was a firm believer in good natural soap, being a health minded person of high order he naturally would have discovered that good skin is important to good health.  Ultimately, the Mighty Atom formulated his own soap and had it made to his specifications.   While I don't know all the details of his soap, I know that it was an Olive oil based Castile Soap, which turns out, not surprisingly, to be similar to my favorite Kiss My Face Olive Oil Bar Soaps.

Olive Oil Soap

My sources for good soap at the time I first read the Mighty Atom book were the hand made local brands that I mentioned, however, they were not as consistent in quality as I would like, and not consistently available.  This is where Kiss my Face brand soap really shines.  Not only was it available in finer health food stores, but it is available on-line.  Here's a high quality soap that is made not in a local bath tub, but manufactured to quality consistent standards. There was also more expensive French soap, but in the end the Kiss my Face Olive oil soap was better and a great value.

So, why the article?  Well, I've had ads for Kiss my face soap on my website for months with no sales, and it's not the absence of a few bucks coming in that makes me sad.  Honestly, I believe in this product so much that the few pennies I might make off it is not the point.  I've probably made only $5 off of the rare weightlifting books page, but I'm very proud of my efforts there because that page makes it easier for my readers (my friends), to find some of those rare books.   I really want everyone to try this Olive Oil soap and I think this short article may convince you to give it a try (and a bar really isn't all that expensive just to see what I mean).  On the cost of the bar, you will see that it is a bit more than some big national brands but there are three important points to consider.

Natural Soap vs. other brands

First, the soap is quite "dense" and a bar seems to last much longer than those national brands.  It's been years since I've tried the other soaps, but I remember this to be true.  Second, this soap will leave your skin with less "residue" and within a few weeks your skin itself will feel better (but I admit it's hard to describe how it feels different).  In the end it's a small price to pay to try the soap yourself and see my point.  The third point is that Kiss my Face soaps are naturally made, check the label on your current soap and you might be surprised (or shocked) to see what's in there!  While you are at the Kiss my face Website you will see many other fine products, some of which I have also tried, many I have not.  If everything is of the same quality as the Olive Oil soap then you will not be disappointed with your purchase.

Kiss My Face Skin Care

While we are on the subject of healthy skin, I'd also like to recommend The SkinStore.com.  This great internet store was founded and directed by physicians since 1997.  They specialize in anti-aging products and have a large selection of dermatologist and spa-recommended products.  Many of the products were developed by renowned Dermatologists, which was the goal of the SkinStore from the start.  The SkinStore sell a wide range of brand products for healthy skin, including SkinMedicaStriVectin-SD (for anti-aging) and SkinCeuticals.
