1)  "The Spiritual Journey of Joseph L. Greenstein, The Mighty Atom, World's Strongest Man," by Ed Spielman.  See to the right column to buy from Amazon, however, it is currently unavailable there new.  Another option is the original used hardcover edition, usually a few copies are available at Abebooks, click the "Find Books" link to the right to see the current books available.

    2)  "Iron Age," by Peter Duffy. Article in the Village Voice describing the 1998 annual dinner of the Association of Oldetime Barbell & Strongmen.  This is a fascinating article which was very well done.

    6) "The Mighty Atom, Miracle Marvel" by Dennis Rogers (A great strongman in his own right, see his web site). See back issues of Milo at Ironmind, March 1998, page 37. 

    7)   In the weightlifting hall of fame at York Barbell there is a mention of The Mighty Atom. 
If you take the tour and look closely you can see the display pictures of the Atom and the display case containing the last 40-penny nail that he bit through.

Call for Information:
