Here are some of my better photographs. Click on thumbnail to see the
This picture
is one of my recent favorites, and a good example of why
I like digital cameras. I must have taken 10
pictures all around this donkey from various
angles. This one, with the donkey over my line of
sight and the Washington monument juxtaposed in the
unusual way was definitely the best. |
Here is the Jefferson Memorial in April
2002, the height of
the Cherry Blossoms in Washington D.C. I have gone
to see the blossoms a few times, but the weather is
surprisingly difficult to get just the right
pictures. This was a very cold day for Washington
D.C. in April.

Another cherry blossom
picture from April 2002. It's very hard to pick
just two
pictures from this series, but I believe
these are my best.
|
This picture was taken right
outside my front door. Sometimes you
don't have to look very far for a good picture.
This was one of my better attempts at macro
photography.

This is the same flower as above,
but taken in the morning before it opened. The
blurring effect in the background was intentional, done
in order to place emphasis on the main subject
flower. I zoomed the lens most of the way in and
used an f-stop around 2.8.

This is a nice peaceful picture with very
subtle colors of the sky reflected
into the water.

Covered bridges are so rare
nowadays that I decided to put this picture up.
Not one of my best, but interesting subject
matter. This is one of the first pictures I took
with an Olympus E-10. This bridge is also unusual
in that it is in Georgia. Most covered bridges are
in more northern climates because they were used to
protect the bridge in heavy snow.
