Good Bumper plates are expensive. There are many
people out there who want to try the classic Olympic lifts with
bumper rather than metal plates but don't want to shell out the over $300
price tag (per plate) for the Elite level plates when they are just
beginners. Enter the Hampton plate. At this time
Amazon only has the 45-pound plate available at $89, check back
another time for the availability of the other plates and any
pricing change.
I must admit that I have no idea if this is a good product or
not. Certainly one is not strong enough for the promising
strongman, but coupled together these could be quite the
challenge. I currently do use a cable set so I'm not
completely off base here, I simply do not know this brand. I'm
researching this further for readers of Bigsteel and will update
this listing eventually.
Yes I realize this is not weightlifting equipment, but it's the
only supplement that I'm selling in the personalized pages so I
didn't make a category for it. Good whey protein is the best
for building natural muscle mass. While taste is obviously a
personal thing I note that one reviewer at Amazon felt this was the
best tasting he had tried. One might argue that taste doesn't
matter here, that the quality of the protein is more important, but
if you have ever tried to bulk up with many servings a day of a
protein powder you would know that eventually taste becomes a
factor.
Again, I don't have a category for games, but just in case you
found Bigsteel looking for pitching horseshoes, here you go!
Doubt if I could bend this, the ones that I've seen appear rather
stout, probably like a #5 horseshoe, about the size they put on Clydesdales.
